WEST Brewery

WEST is the only UK Brewery to craft all of its artisan lagers and ales in accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516. We use Water, Malt, Hops and Yeast – that’s it! The only additive is the passion required to create the perfect pint. Our ethos is ‘Glaswegian Heart, German Head’ and everything we do is a beautiful blend of German principles and the renowned Glaswegian spirit.

Housed in the iconic Templeton building in Glasgow’s biggest park, Glasgow Green, WEST on the Green is home to our Brewery network, as well as our Beerhall-style Bar, Restaurant, Beer Garden and Venue. We have two dedicated events spaces right in the heart of our Brewery and, given our location, this makes for an unforgettable event! 

THE HOP ROOM

The Hop Room is perfect for smaller, more intimate events. It is bright and airy with windows on three sides and beautiful dark wood panelling. The decor is neutral and contemporary and lends to your desired theme. The large windowsills provide additional space for decoration inside the room with stunning views overlooking our front garden and Glasgow Green. It also benefits from its own audio/visual equipment and lighting. A wireless microphone can also be utilised upon request.

THE COURTYARD

Created in 2016, the WEST Courtyard is an inspired space that incorporates the industrial grandeur of a full production brewery with the style and finesse of a premier events suite. The Courtyard is filled with natural daylight that floods in from the original Victorian windows and highlights the stunning features in the room. The main feature is a 15ft high wall of glass that acts as a viewing gallery into WEST’s state of the art brewery below.

  • A West Brewery space arranged and decorated for a private dinner. The space has a post-industrial aesthetic, with bare brick walls, girders, and silver extraction tubes on the ceiling. The room is decorated with fairy lights and the several round tables with crisp white table cloths, tall silver candelabras and small posies of flowers. The chairs are wooden and a mix of shapes. The floor is a polished, reclaimed wood finish. Large, landscape windows with dark framed cover the top half of the far wall.

  • An interior view of the West on the Green dining room. A bright, open space with a post-industrial aesthetic. Large, paned, landscape windows fill much of the far, outside wall. The walls have dark panelling and the ceiling and top part of the visible walls is painted an olive green. The floor is made up of reclaimed wooden panels, with remnants of paint. Silver extraction tubes run across the ceiling. Wooden tables of different sizes are surrounded by traditional wooden dining chairs, occupied by diners.

  • A room set up at the West brewery for a private meeting. Several pale wood tables are arranged into a U-configuration. The outside edge is lined with dark wooden, upright chairs, glasses and water jugs sit on the table tops. The floor is polished wood. The left hand wall is glass, made up of paned panels. The right-hand exterior wall is a large, landscape window with cream curtains pulled back. Spare chairs are lined up under the window. Potted plants and minimal spherical ceiling lights decorate the room.
