The Anchor Line

Housed in the meticulously restored 1905 booking offices of The Anchor Line shipping company, this iconic venue celebrates Glasgow’s rich maritime heritage. The building’s grand period features have been thoughtfully preserved, complemented by fascinating archival research from the University of Glasgow. The walls tell the story of The Anchor Line’s legacy, creating a unique and inspiring backdrop.

Known as one of the city’s premier destinations for cocktails, The Anchor Line boasts an elegant central bar perfect for people-watching. Beyond the bar, the dining rooms offer a menu that bridges the best of both sides of the Atlantic, featuring dishes like Oysters Rockefeller, Lobster Frites, and prime Scottish matured beef caramelized to perfection.

For private events, The Anchor Line offers versatile spaces:

  • Henderson Room: Accommodates up to 36 guests and includes a TV screen for presentations.
  • Donaldson Room: Welcomes up to 60 guests.
  • Combined Space: Host larger events by combining both rooms.

These private dining areas are ideal for meetings, networking events, drinks receptions, and dinners.
